Telehandler Training Courses - Gold Card Training Facility
Working in conjunction with the EWPA Association, YG Lifting Solutions Pty Ltd helped pioneer the Telehandler Gold Card Training Program. With combined industry experience of 20 years, Managing Directors of YG Lifting Solutions Pty Ltd, Paul Gray and Andrew Young are accredited “Train the Trainers” for the Telehandler Gold Card program with the EWPAA on a national basis. In fact YG Lifting Solutions Pty Ltd travelled State to State and trained the trainers on how to offer the program. The Telehandler Training Program is a long awaited Telehandler training course that was developed by the Elevated work Platform Association of Australia (EWPAA). As popular as its sister program in the Elevated work Platform industry (Yellow Card), the Telehandler Training Program provides training and assessment of operators weather they are experienced or first time.
The training program is broken into two parts:
- Theory including 35 minute video presentation and Assessment (Approximately 2 and a half Hours)
- Demonstration / Practical operation assessment of machine tailored specifically to your telescopic handler (Approximately 45minutes as a group then 25 minutes per operator individually)
Completion of Course and Accreditation:
Once the operator has been deemed competent in the safe use and operation of a telescopic handler and successfully completed the assessment tasks as set out by the accredited trainers. The operator will be issued with a telescopic handler Gold Card. The telescopic handler Gold Card will meet your two key objectives of the OH&S acts being:
- It confirms that the operator of the telescopic handler has been trained in the safe use of the machine
- The employer and user all have documentary evidence that the required ‘duty of care’ has been met or exceeded

Training can be provided onsite, tailor designed to the clients particular Telehandler and application (For example: Mining, Construction, Recycling, Poultry, Agriculture, Transport)
